SINCE 2016 WE HAVE SUCCESSFULLY PLACED 51 PIGS IN THEIR FOREVER HOMES. HERE ARE A FEW OF THEIR STORIES.
When Sprout came into rescue he was covered in urine scald and extremely emaciated. This was due to lack of proper. However, Sprouts previous owner didn’t know any better because the breeder they purchased him from did not supply them with the proper knowledge needed for caring for a pig. Adria, one of our amazing and selfless volunteers was able to get him back on his feet. After Sprout had made a full recovery he found his forever home with Derek and Marie! This amazing family also adopted another pig from us named Jelly along with a goat named Spider Goat!
Emmy & Bubba
We found Emmy and Bubba listed on a livestock page for butcher. Our fellow pig foster mom, Adria, drove over 2 hours to pick them up. Emmy just had a litter of piglets. Due to the freezing temperatures and lack of proper care, they all froze to death the same night. When Emmy arrived she was completely broken in spirit. She had been through so much. From the picture you can see that Emmy was also severely emaciated as well. Theres a good chance if we had been a few days later she might have died from malnutrition. Bubba was completely terrified of people to the point where he would sit in the corner and shake with anxiety. A year has passed since we rescued them and we are very proud to say that Emmy is one happy and healthy girl now. Bubba is still weary of strangers but has made leaps and bounds. Emmy and Bubba were both adopted and went to a FABULOUS home with Stacy. Stacy says she sees improvements with Bubba everyday and he will even let her pet him!
